More reflections....
Oh well hard luck to the 16s and Colts. The 16s game was a close contest, and sorry to say but the Colts couldnt match up to the mini Red Army! Full credit to the runningbacks from both teams! Congrats to the Raiders and Wildcats young boys. Metro boys next year will come round soon - what doesnt kill you only makes you stronger. The Hawks v Wildcats game was pretty boring until the 4th quarter and until someone tried to pick a fight with a tree, I think the tree won!
Highlights for the year though:
*Kebab catching a pass against the Wildcats, the old mullet probably was slowing you down. Good on you for cutting it off, leave the mullet to Country.
*Addy having a lil hongi with Niko - geez these two love each other. I swear nearly every game these two always have to have a lil man love action for some reason. Get a room you two, oh nah hang on Toa already asked him for a lil one on one action in the bathroom! There was no response to the intimate encounter.
*Effrim taking off his shirt down in HH after the Raiders game...ok so now we know who found Kebab's lost stash of steroids. Settle down big guy!
* The young RB from the 16s just ran around teams! He turned the corner on sweeps and ate up the field. It was so exciting to watch, reminded me of a young Tux Halaholo or even a Effrim when he was playing in the Colts with his gf Jesse.
*Getting to eat Carls Junior after the HH games, got sick and tired of eating Mighty Angus Combo's after the games.
*Having some of the Colts play in the Seniors during the season. About time we had some young blood inject some enthusiasm in the senior squad. Just like the ol days when Addy, the Stowers and others would slot in and show some old fullas up. Like I said before speed does kill. Pity Addy isnt that fast anymore, Kelly has gone and Shannon well....dont get me started there.
*Muff getting cut from behind then he went flying into the punt returner. Had Dobbo seen that, you wouldve made Plays of the Week along with Sonnybill's knockout of Tillman with Edgar and Addy cheering with tears in their eyes.
* The new black strip for the Seniors looked scrumptious, will look menacing once all the boys click on to the new colour scheme. They say black is slimming but I still havent seen that slimming effects on some of our boys, oh well its how you play not how you look right?
*Watching Cory and Addy connect on the field. Did we move the chains when those two were on point. Addy still has skill and passion for the game. Him and Cory are lethal together. Had Addy played more games he would be MVP for sure, no one else comes close to his impact on the field.
Oh by Addy I mean Adam Strickland, sorry Adam Felix you still need to give your new yellow Nike boots some game time. Try combo them with your old yellow garden gloves and you'll be back to your old HEATSTREAKER self.
2012 is the year of the Lion! Train up hard boys and come back ready to roll some mo fo's!

Not bad ! AFA !
Starting with the Juniors Final,it had everything ! Rain heat sunshine and a few injuries.If only the Metro QB listened to his coaches and spiked the damned ball !or He should have looked down field to his WR !Another chance lost Predators.As for the Metro Colts,as soon as the Metro QB got smashed,the Lions became pussycat meat ! Those Wildcat colts were huge CMF's ! The Cats were too strong for the Metro boys and deserved to win ! The Premier Senior Kiwibowl was pretty boring until the last quarter.Hawks did what the Lions couldn't do the previous week.Run through the Cats poor defensive line when it matters. A good victory for Coach Hall and his 'H' Town boys ! Too bad that the day ended on a sour note for one of the Cats ! At least he had a free ride in a popo's car !
